How To Save Money On Just About Everything

Hey Friends!  I am so excited about my post
today...I am featuring a couple of websites I came accross with awesome tips for
saving money on almost eveything.  My fav is Mrs. January's blog
post....for sure.  In this article, there are over 200 ways to save money,
from big to small, and eveything in-between!  Be sure to check her out, her
site is all about frugality and family...LOVE IT!

Some Sample Goodness from her article:

  • Use ceiling fans, floor fans and space heaters.

  • Turn the oven off during the last few minutes of cooking. There’s still enough heat in there to keep stuff cooking.

  • Use power strips.

  • Caulk around doors, windows and baseboards.

  • Shop once a week and with a list.

  • Save your receipts. Watch store sales a week or two after you shop and get a price adjustment when able.

  • Pay for gas at the pump, to avoid temptations in the store.

  • Literally, she has 200 ways to save money in this post, I could
list them all here, but what kind of fun would that be for you, or for her, LOL
:)..and I feel good about saying that many of them are totally implemented in my
    families lives!

This woman obviously knows how to pinch a penny and God Bless Her, I LOVE THAT!

Below is the link to her blog...the guest blog I am featuring
today and the video has a couple more links in it also!  Definitely some
fun reading for over the weekend while your laying by the pool watching the
kiddos...and definitely some awesome ways to save money!

Meanwhile, this article is a few years old....but there are still
plenty of awesome ideas in here also,  Per CBS--

Tip #1: Stop by a local outlet for baked goods from Entenmann's, Arnold, and Boboli for savings of up to 50%.

Tip#3: Prepackaged foods cost more -- if you wash your own greens or cut your own fruit and vegetables. For example: A bag of pre-washed romaine lettuce costs $3.25 vs. a head of romaine at $1.99.

Tip#1: Refurbished products -- save up to $20 if you buy refurbished Apple iPods or computers from Apple.com. Click on store to find pre-owned gadgets
that have the same warranty coverage as new ones.

Tip#2: Audit your bills -- according to the Citizens Utility Board, the average cell phone user could save $331 a year by shopping for a better plan. Check out BillShrink.com or LowerMyBills.com. Also, don't file away the cable and phone bills before taking a hard look at them. If there are services you rarely use, you could save as much as $500.
